This discovery came after MANY, MANY, (did I say MANY, MANY) attempts to find a great shampoo that was gluten free yet color safe (yes I color), didn’t smell horrible, gave body, and was cruelty free. Not an easy list, I know, but when I was having problems with my hair falling out recently I thought I MUST truly find something other than these harsh chemical shampoos and the gluten free ones that smell and feel like dirt. So I went into a local health food store and saw this new bottle I hadn’t seen before: ACURE.  As I picked up the bottle and started to read I was amazed. Not only was it gluten free and ticked all the boxes on my list, it was made from stem cells of quinoa and echinacea. I couldn’t believe it so I took it home and seriously LOVED what it did for my hair. Soft, bouncy not weighed down, a gentle soft smell and no FEAR of getting gluten by some run away shampoo that gets in your mouth. I actually got many compliments on my hair.

I am hooked.

Hmmmm I thought, if they have great shampoo do they have other products that I’ve been searching for as well? They sure did. Everything from leave in conditioners and argon oil to face creams. Although I haven’t tried all their products, all I can say is a big thumbs up.
They may not be available everywhere but you can view their product line and purchase on their website.

Happy safe shampooing!

Ever Onward,

Jennifer Esposito

Do you have any dog grooming products you would suggest for a big dog? The reason i ask is I know you have or had big dogs and I have one too.

Have a nice day filming or acting.

Went to the ACURE website and LOVE the fact that for a couple of their products sold they donate to support Breast Cancer!

I will be trying a few of their products. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Hi there… another great line that is gluten free, cruelty free, and really great is Skin Organics by Ann Webb. I use her products and regularly go to her clinic here in Austin Tx and have been very pleased. Here’s the website if anyone is interested. http://www.awskinclinic.com/ I don’t think she has shampoos and conditioners, but the line of face and skin products is extensive.

That is freaking birraze! But get this the gastro doctor who first saw my daughter after her emergency room visit, who said she looked like a classic celiac (pre blood test) sent us home with a huge stash of chocolate and vanilla ensure drinks (think it was ensure) but when we glanced at the ingredients it had gluten. !!!??? Maybe trying to get the optimum endoscopy result? No clue, and no thanks. We threw them out and changed doctors after opting out of the endoscopy. Her blood levels were off the chart high and even the dr said it was 99% celiac. Crazy stuff all around.

Jennifer & troops- Chaz Dean has developed an entire formula gluten free in his line of hair care . The Pomegranate formula is gluten free & his has many “seasonal” formulas are also. Recently added a Kids formula that is rice based and is also gluten free. I love his stuff- just wonderful. The line is WEN by Chaz Dean & available at his salon in California {or chazdean.com} and on QVC. It has done wonders for my dry, breaking unhealthy hair.

I’m too searching for skincare & a good shampoo for color treated hair. Are you still currently using ACURE shampoo & happy with it? Also, I would LOVE, LOVE to know more everyday Gluten Free items & food items that are staples for you! I feel like I spend so much time running around from place to place. I have 3 kid’s and homeschool to try and feed my son with Asperger’s Syndrome a Gluten Free diet. We loved the private school we used to send them to, but it was becoming impossible to monitor all the “crap” they were giving my kid’s. Tons of sugar, candy loaded with dyes, donuts, snacks, etc… Anyway, hearing of anything tried and true products or good tasting GF items would make my life just a tad easier. Can I just say that I am soooooo enjoying reading your website and your videos on utube. I do all Gluten Free in support for my son. I do not have Celiac Disease, but I must say, I feel TREMENDOUSLY better not having Gluten for months now. So…..makes me wonder if I do have it & just don’t know. Anyway, I’m willing to forfeit ANY food from my diet to be of support to my son. Thank you so much for what you are doing and for you VOICE! I truly admire you :)

Lemongrass Spa Products also offer a ton of 100% natural, gluten free products. Their conditioner is gluten free and is great on my color treated hair. I love their products so much that I am a consultant just for the discount and to sell to close friends and family. You should really check them out. Most ingredients are food grade ingredients so if my little ones get into them they will be safe. I love your blog. Thank you so much for the help and inspiration.

FYI to all, some of these products are available at Whole Foods if you need something right away and they are indeed awesome. My favorite is the facial brightening scrub. Jennifer, thank you for speaking out on behalf of the Celiac community! I too was first diagnosed at 35 and can totally relate to your story…and to feeling great for the first time in my life :-)

Just purchased the Acure Mandarin Orange hand lotion and love it after trying others that smelled like wet cardboard if unscented or fragrance free. I was not aware you found success with this line until I had purchased it. Looking forward to trying e hair products.

Thank you Jennifer for taking the time to do what you do. I have one request. Could you please put an extra tab on your web site that refers to current obsessions (likes/dislikes) and list specific products you use.. maybe quarterly throughout the year. I imagine you may get access to products we may not see or know about because of your celebrity status and I imagine you are an expert at ingredient lists by now. The products dont need to change quarterly. Having an unbiased-unpaid opinion. It may be nice to know what your unchanged staples are. Thank you.
